Nellis AFB Solar Power Plant

Bombard was contracted by SunPower to construct the Nellis AFB Solar Power Plant’s PV and electrical systems, as well as procure a large portion of the electrical equipment.

Bombard conducted extensive R&D before full scale construction of the Nellis Solar Power Plant began. Through this process, they developed and fabricated specialized tools, equipment, and processes specific to the installation of utility-scale ground-mounted PV systems.

The Nellis AFB installation was completed on schedule and under budget using a team of over 95 Nevada electricians from Bombard.
